Research Opportunities
RWTH Aachen University will offer a wide range of possible internship options in the fields of Natural Sciences, IT, Engineering, Sociology, Medicine, Psychology or Economics, just to name a few. For students interested in other research areas, RWTH Aachen University’s International Office might be able to arrange other internship options. Students should contact the International Office by November at the latest with specifics on their research topic, and the International Office will try to match them with a suitable research team. Fees and Scholarships
Participation in UROP International is basically open for everyone, subject to a minimum GPA of 3.2 or higher. No tuition fees will be charged. A small service fee of 50 EUR will be charged for administrative matters after you will have been admitted to the program.In addition, 30 scholarships will be available for 2010, which will be awarded to students with an outstanding academic record (based on a minimum GPA of 3.2 and a letter of recommendation). The scholarships will amount to 1,850 EUR to cover the living expenses during your stay in Aachen. We will notify you whether you have been considered for a scholarship by the end of February 2010. If you have not been considered for a scholarship you should put aside around 2,000 EUR for your stay in Aachen.
